Its always nice to skip town for the weekend. Ukiah bound....I am sure the rain will find me up north too...

whats next...

even though preparing for the art show took little effort, i haven't been feeling too creative. i keep telling myself, "tonight you will________" or whatever but it just don't work. usually rearranging the furniture of my apartment helps, but i did rotate my bed and well, it looks better. i did break out my sewing machine cos i had to do a little project for my neighbor, so i left it out. maybe i will feel ambitious tonight when i get home and make something i can write about tomorrow...i feel like i should use the time to make something functional...i do need a new laundry bag...hmmmmmm...

"Meet Me Under the Cherry Blossom's" Art Show @ Sweet Breams, San Mateo

Wednesday night we did the install for the "Meet Me Under the Cherry Blossom's" show that will run for the next 30 days in wonderful downtown San Mateo. It also was featured in a Sunset Magazine blog recently, you can read that here. 

While I am not the biggest fan of art shows and things of that nature, Wednesday night proved to be that one little thing that makes it all worth while, friends.I think I can speak for everyone having a good time, drinking beers, hanging art, meeting the other artists that we didn't yet know and becoming an even larger fan of Sweet Breams, not just for the taiyaki, but for the mere fact that Tara, who was a stranger to most of us just a few months ago, opened her doors and let us do this...there are very few people in this world that are that cool. Thank you!

The reception is this Saturday (the 18th of April) at 8pm. It is all child friendly, but I believe some wine may be served after 10pm. Here is the list of all the participants:

events...

thanks to Ghost Ghost Teeth i am getting the opportunity to show some stuff in the downtown San Mateo art walks. i don't know many of the details yet except it is soon and i don't know what i am going to submit.

i usually wait to the last minute and throw it all together half assed. thats the way i work. almost prefer it that way. i have a bunch of unseen Polaroid enlargements that i will probably frame. it just seems like thats all it ever is, a bunch of obscure Polaroids. well one more time can't hurt...

a few weeks after the art walk there is going to be another show at Sweet Breams in downtown San Mateo, which i think i have already mentioned. i have actually been spending time, working on a few exclusive things for that show, and so far happy the way it is turning out. except for the stupid things i do like lay down a new matte in wet ink, or get my thread tangled real bad while sewing. ha.

an idea for the Cherry Blossom festival, but it's a Dahlia flower, oh well...

the beginning...

well i was inspired by a good friend mr. ghost, ghost teeth to begin this weblog. 

still trying to figure how to do it all, be patient.

let me give you a run down of a few projects on my plate, some have been going on for a long time, procrastination being the number one...

• cherry blossom art show...again i have been coaxed by ghost, ghost teeth to partake in another art show. This one will be at a place in lovely downtown San Mateo called Sweet Breams, which sells these deserts called Taiyaki(did i spell that right?). anyways they are super good and the only fish this vegetarian will ever eat. not sure what to put up for the show, but got some things in the works. more to come...
  
• circuit bent speak & math and speak & read...i have found an article, and some youtube videos of one circuit bent device triggering a second, although this is pretty much beyond my capabilities at this time, it is something i am dying to try. i have also been considering re-casing my bent speak & spell into, well i don't know yet. if you have any ideas, hit me up
• make more music...with Live 8 on it's way, and now supporting max/msp, or i guess they are calling it max for live, now was a good time to get back into playing music, making tracks, droning noise, or whatever you want to call it. check my myspace page for my music, until i can figure out how to get it on here, or do i even want it on here?
  
• MALT...me and jessica have become MALT volunteers, i won't get into any heavy details about it now, but you can read more about the organization here.
• sewing...well after i purchase Live 8, start saving for that Bernina! haven't done much sewing at all since the xmas boutique, where i had to sew hundreds of these wine glass coasters. i don't mind one or two of the same thing, but when you become an assembly line it gets sucky.
• learn max/msp...someday...anyone give tutorials? 

 ok that is just a start...there is a ton of other stuff such as recipes i want to try and places i want to photograph, but save that for later posts. thanks for reading this far.
